ART'S BIRTHDAY 2005
ARS ACUSTICA EBU SPECIAL EVENING
ON AIR ON LINE ON SITE
16th of January 2005 20:00 - 24:00 CET
Live Stream: http://stream.sil.at:7564
Four hours of radio art coming live from Madrid, Baden-Baden, Moscow, Praha, Stockholm, Wien, Vancouver and Tokyo
This event is a pre-celebration of the international Art's Birthday which takes place on January 17th.
EBUs ars acustica group has designed the contents and contributions under the idea of sound "birthday presents" at that international "party". Two main nodes placed in Vienna (ORF) and Stockholm (SR) will collect the elements to feed two EBU satellite channels. Apart from that, the Ars Acustica webpage contains the web addresses of independent international web projects also involved in that party. As a result every participating broadcasting corporation can offer a particular approach to the event.
The participans and contents are:
SR (Stockholm, Sweden) :
Live-events at the Stockholm University College for Arts Crafts and Design with Swedish sound-artists and composers of noise, electronic music, sound-art and text-sound-compositions
ORF (Vienna, Austria) :
Live-event with Austrian and international artists who work live and web-streaming between Vienna and several other places around the world
SWR (Baden-Baden, Germany) :
"Hashirigaki", a radio work by Heiner Goebbels as interludes in between the contributions of the broadcast
VLTAVA (Prague, Czech Republic) :
Live event "Meanders and Sediments" with several Czech artists
RTR (Moscow, Russia):
Live jam-session (acoustic motet) with Russian sound artist Sergei Zagny , the Czech Arts Birthday event, and sound artist Ward Weis (Belgium)
RBB (Berlin, Germany ):
Pre-recorded sounds taken out of several SFB/RBB-Klang-Galerie activities
RNE (Madrid) :
Two pieces by Spanish sound artists Guillermo Lorenzo, Miguel Ángel Ramos and Arturo Moya
The Art's birthday radio event will also be broadcasted by NRK in Norway (real time), the VPRO in Holland (remix January 18th) and the DLR in Germany (first of three remix programmes January 28th). |
