Description of the Venue
24 Hours of Radio Art is an annual event first started on CITR FM in 1992. From 1994 - 96, the event happend on "Private Radio" - a home-made transmitter (built by Robert Kozinuk, WENR FM 89.3) located at the Western Front. Sometime around 1998 or 1999, the 24 Hours experience returned to CITR FM and has been happening there ever since on Art's Birthday.
Located in Vancouver, Canada, CiTR 101.9 FM is the broadcasting voice of the University of British Columbia. Reaching over two million listeners, our signal reverberates from Point Grey east to Langley, north to Squamish and south to our neighbours in Bellingham, Washington. Run by volunteers from the campus and local community, CiTR attempts to provide a listening experience unlike that found elsewhere on the dial. A vast variety of music, news, spoken word and arts, and sports programming can be heard each day. |
